Podemos determinar qué palabras son las más exclusivas para cada libro/documento de nuestro corpus calculando la puntuación tf-idf (frecuencia de término-frecuencia de documento inversa) para cada término. El tf-idf es el cociente de la frecuencia del término y la frecuencia del término en el documento: \(\frac{tf}{idf}\), donde \(\text{tf}=\frac{n_\text{palabra}}{n_\text{total palabras en doc}}\), y donde \(\text{idf}=\frac{n_\text{{docs}}}{n_\text{docs que tienen la palabra}}\).
